Hohner have been one of the best names in the music world for longer than most with the marine band harmonica already well over 100 years old. The Hohner Company set up in 1857 by Matthias Hohner has had its hands in many music revolutions.
They are currently best known for their traditional instruments, harmonicas, accordions and melodicas but they also have a number of unique guitars and many other instruments. Hohner are always brining out new models of harmonica with Sept 09 seeing two more the "Marine Band Crossover" and the "Blues Bender".
Of course lots of people just pick up harmonica as they go along but we do stock a range of books often with CDs to help you on your way.

If you ever watch programs like "Later with Jools Holland" you will see melodic playing is still alive and well. The key layout is the same as a piano and you blow in to the top to create the sound.
