CY Music is a general musical instrument and accessory shop with retail premises in Winchester town center. We offer the friendly and helpful service you would expect from a local independent shop. We can advise on almost all aspects of music from choosing an instrument to finding a teacher. Although the name CY Music may be new to you, we are not new to the music industry.
Chris Yarnton has been part of the sales side of musical instruments for 17 years, both in retail for a national chain of stores and then whole sale, supplying well known brands such as Zoom, Sonor, Crafter and loads more. Always wanting to open a general music shop aiming to offer advice to any level of musician in a friendly relaxed environment, CY Music opened in June 2005. We also have a few other members of staff who are all active musicians. Matt & Sam have both studied music and play in bands. Matt is foremost a guitarist while Sam plays drums, both have a great understanding of other instruments as well.

Licenses Required By Law
Not only do we try to offer the best service, we do it by the book. Most services are regulated by law one way or another here are some of the licenses we hold so you can buy with confidence.
The PRS license is required for us to play music in the shop. A consumer credit license means we can operate our hire buy scheme and offer credit terms to customers.
